When we showed our demo boat at HSBO in Gothenburg Sweden in June, we also got invited to Southampton UK for the upcoming Seawork International exhibition. This trade show is 100% focused on the professional market, which is a large target market for us. After thinking over this for a bit we agreed to take advantage of this invitation and take the demo boat to Southampton, where Seawork is held.
Seawork is the type of exhibition with on land and in water areas. We are a big fan of this type of exhibitions where the boats are in water as it makes it possible for us to give test drives and really show how great the boat is. Luckily for us, our boat slip was right at the beginning of the dock, as we were constantly going in and out. We were by far the most popular boat there and we probably accounted for 1/3 of all boat trials that where given, from all 40 boats that where there. The visitors where extremely interested in our boat, the engines, the joystick solution, coastkey etc. The result of this was that our Garmin chart plotter looked like this after the end of the show (the black and white lines are our trips in and out) .
We left the exhibition with new experience, more knowledge, a larger network and interested customers.
